Creating Ceramic Beads with Jennifer Heynen

Date: Saturday & Sunday, April 19th & 20th

Description: All levels of experience. Class size limited, so don't delay. Learn the techniques of ceramic bead making; basic bead shapes, links, pendants, components, & toggle clasps. Students can expect to finish between 30 - 100 beads.

Location: Elks Lodge, 6304 SW 78th St., S. Miami

Members: $200, Non-members: $250, required kit: $40

Woven Wire Ring with Loren Damewood

Date: Saturday, May 17th

Description: All levels of experience. Class size limited to 12 students. Anyone who took the bracelet workshop with Loren will be wanting to take this as well, however, that is not a pre-requisite. All materials and tools will be provided in the class fee.

Location: Elks Lodge, 6304 SW 78th St., S. Miami

Members: $100, Non-members: $125.

The Viking Knit Technique with Linda Richman and Adrienne Gaskell

Date: Saturday, June 14 10 AM - 4 PM

Description:  Learn this ancient braided rope technique that you will be able to use as an elegant simple bracelet or necklace, or incorporate with beads and beaded structures for a more dramatic look. Students will create a length of Viking Knit and finish the ends to form a bracelet. Examples will be shown to illustrate the variety of uses and embellishments.

Bead Spiral Lariat with Marcia Acker-Missal

Date: Saturday, July 19th 9AM - 5 PM

Description:

This beginner workshop is a multi-faceted project that focuses on the off-loom beadweaving spiral technique. A variety of skills will be taught. Each student’s lariat necklace will be unique and beautiful art to wear.
