Meeting Presentations

January 21st – Barbara McGuire

Barbara believes that art is completely subjective and one of the few things that no one can take away from you. She has been an artist all of her life and says that she simply could not live without it! “It’s my calling and, on a higher level, my purpose in bringing fulfillment to others.” During this month’s presentation Barbara will share her work and artistic insights with us. Then, for the next 3 days, she will take students through three different 1-day beginner polymer clay classes. All classes introduce different techniques that result in beautiful jewelry that you will be able to easily reproduce on your own. Take one or all three! Each 1-day class is $90 for members, $110 for non-members. See the Education Page for more information.
Barbara has written 10 books on design and instruction and has developed stamps, templates and molds for artists working in polymer and metal clay. She has also appeared as a regular guest of the popular "Carol Duvall Show".

“My future objective is to teach the design principles as a means to create more appealing design quality and to empower women with the confidence to study their own creative finesse. Currently I am producing "WOMAN Creative", a publication I call a "digizine" – a combination of print and digital information.
