A statement piece worthy of legend, this handcrafted necklace evokes the treasure-laden lair of a mythical dragon. Its beaded rope chain is richly textured with intricate metallic seed beads, accented by clusters of round pearls and faceted crystal elements. At the center rests an ornate, oval pendant encircling a large faceted gemstone cabochon, framed by meticulously stitched beadwork that gives the impression of ancient, enchanted armor. A lush, silky tassel hangs from the base of the pendant, adding movement and a touch of regal drama. Bold, ornate, and full of story, this necklace feels like an artifact rescued from a forgotten kingdom’s treasure vault.
Forged by the bead-mages of old, the Dragon’s Hoard Necklace once rested in the treasure chamber of Saerath, the Verdant Flame—an ancient dragon who prized magic over gold. Its central stone was cut from a crystal formed in Saerath’s own nest, said to hold a spark of the dragon’s insight and protective power. When the dragon vanished into legend, the necklace remained, waiting for a new bearer worthy of its quiet, ancient magic.
Techniques Used- circular peyote, netting, right angle weave, cubic right angle weave and strong bead weaving skills. You will be going through some tight spots.

Rangashrii Santhanam
Rangashrii Santhanam is an award-winning bead artist and designer whose sparkling, intricately detailed creations have captured the hearts of beaders around the world. Since discovering her passion for beadwork in 2009, her designs have been featured in publications such as Beadwork and Bead and Jewelry, and she proudly serves as a member of the prestigious Beadsmith Inspiration Squad.
Originally from Chennai, India, Rangashrii holds a background in the sciences and moved to the United States in 2005. Her journey into the world of beadwork began with a desire to create jewelry to complement her vibrant and elaborate Indian outfits. Starting with YouTube videos and artist tutorials, she quickly developed her skills and began designing and writing her own tutorials in 2017.
Bead weaving is her technique of choice—she’s drawn to its complexity and the creative challenges it presents. Her signature style leans heavily toward bold, glamorous sparkle, with many of her designs echoing the forms and patterns of nature, especially flowers. A frequent traveler, she always tries to bring her beads along for the ride.
Rangashrii now lives in South Carolina with her supportive husband, their son, an adorable puppy princess, and a spoiled cat she lovingly calls her “favorite child.” When she’s not beading, she enjoys reading, gardening, and playing board games with her family.
