I’ve been in love with beading since I first discovered it in 2002. I was independently teaching textiles at the time, working part-time in a garden open to the public and part-time Window Dressing with textiles.
One of the ladies who attended my sewing class brought with her a little fabric and beaded strawberry one day. I was completely delighted by it and desperate to have a go. Once I began, the magnetism was instant! I beaded all day then still couldn’t leave it alone all evening! I could hardly move when I finally stopped…..I expect you’ve all been there.
My passion for beading flourished and grew and very quickly, I just couldn’t resist playing and experimenting with all those deliciously inspiring colors and bead shapes, not to mention exquisitely sparkling Swarovski. Creating a new shape was completely thrilling, I’d dance around the room every time I discovered something new and different!
Within a very short while, I started to teach. Technique and color inspiring me the most. Before long I’d given up all my other work and started designing jewelry and beaded art and teaching beading full time… and I’m still in love with it now! Teaching beading has taken me to wonderful places in the UK, US, and Europe and to meet some great people.
Having a website to sell some of my patterns and kits is long overdue, lots of you have been nagging me to get on with it…….COVID19 has given me the time to get it together. This is just the beginning, there are lots more to come……..
